Bruree GAA have teamed up with Rockhill/Bruree Sportsfield, Rockhill/Bruree Community Hall and St Patricks National School in association with Lucey Motors, Charleville to give one lucky supporter the chance to drive around in style.
Special thanks to Declan Hannon, Limerick Senior Hurling Captain and Lucey Motors Brand Ambassador for attending our launch, it was really appreciated. The very best of luck to Declan, his teammates and all involved with the Limerick Senior Hurling team.
The organisations have come together to organise a major Community Fundraiser for the following projects:
An AstroTurf area and Hurling Wall to the rear of St Patrick's National School
A Walkway around the Community Sports field.
Replacement of the flat roof to the front of the Community Hall.
The initial stage is to raise funds to have base funding available to apply for grants under various programmes e.g. Leader Programme, Sports Capital Scheme. The project of replacing the flat roof in the Community Hall is a more immediate problem. During the early months of this year due to heavy winds and rain the roof was damaged and is leaking in several places. It needs to be replaced as soon as possible as otherwise the interior work will be ruined.
Ronan Lucy of Lucey Motors "We are delighted to be associated with this fundraiser and it is fantastic to see such a strong community spirit, it's for an absolutely fantastic cause and we wish you all the very best with the fundraiser and we look forward in helping anyway we can over the coming months. We have a long and proud association with Bruree going back to 1996 when we first supplied a set of jerseys and it is great to see that coming full circle again"
An 2.0 Skyactiv-G Mazda M Hybrid retailing at €30,000 is up for grabs for the winner of this exciting raffle. Tickets are currently on sale through members of the organisations involved, local outlets & through Lucey Motors, Charleville
We have all endured the upheaval and hardship caused by Covid19, but it has also reminded us of the importance of being part of a Community and of Community Facilities where we can meet up and enjoy each other's company. Thankfully we appear to be emerging from this terrible experience and there is some light at the end of the tunnel. The Community Spirit which has sustained us through this difficult time is being called upon again so that we can provide further facilities for our Community and for future generations.
